It was good to see the rain stop for a bit, and today we heard Bill continue his education on the anatomy of your 60 second introduction. We learned the proper structure to introduce yourself, your company, and your services. First you should lead with your name, company, and company focus. Then next you should use a rel life business situation that shows the merit our your services. Next, of course, is to describe what type of referral you are looking for, and lastly to reiterate who you are and finish with a a memory hook ( a tag-line or short quip that people will remember).

Today’s speaker was Kevin Strohl from Northwestern Mutual. Kevin has been with Northwestern Mutual for 2 1/2 Years now since leaving college. Kevin is in the business of being proactive about your future. Northwestern Mutual was just re affirmed by the S&P as a triple A business and they have never been stronger. Kevin believes in being proactive in bringing up the hard questions now, that you may not think of so that you are prepared for the future and any obstacles you may find along the way.
He spoke today about some case studies and it was great to learn of the diversity of clientele that he services. From a 26 year old nurse living at home just getting started looking into her financial future, to a affluent two income family looking for the security if something happens to one or either of them that they and their family is taken care of by way of death benefits, disability, and income protection. He spoke about meeting with an older couple concerned with making sure that their long term care was taken of. And lastly about a 1 income affluent family with no long term financial plans for the future and assisted them in gaining the security that we all need in these turbulent times.
