Meeting August 6, 2009 – Speaker Bill Hettinger – Computer Troubleshooters

Although we got alter start we had a great meeting today. In our education portion of the meeting we started a discussion on attendance. Attendance is the cornerstone of a great group. Think of it this way, a person who does not attend on a regular basis and shows a recurring pattern of this how do you think they will be perceived? You may lose faith in providing that person with a lead due to this fact. Attending the meetings regularly is a great opportunity to showcase your product and services and even of greater importance showcase yourself. Next week we will talk about and show how lower attendance directly correlates to lower lead generation.

Computer Troubleshooters is the “IT department” for small business and residential PC users, encompassing computer repair, consulting and training. We specialize in friendly, professional, on-site service.

Today Bill gave us the ”Tour of the PC” and some things you can do personally to help fight against crashing and losing data. While looking inside of a desktop Bill explained how a computer is basically a giant air filter. He showed us how dust can get build up inside your PC and regularly opening it up and carefully using a air can to clean the inside will assist in extending the life of your PC.

He went on to explain the various parts within the computer and the trouble areas to look for. He explained the difference between the hard and memory which allot of people misinterpret. The memory of your computer you can think of as your desk in your office as you keep working and leave things on your desk the desk fills up and then things need to filed away in the your file cabinets which would be your hard drive.

We learned allot of good information concerning the make up and parts of the PC during our tour of the PC. If by chance things have already gone wrong give Bill a call, because “Before you shoot your Troubled Computer, call Computer Troubleshooters”.
