Meeting 02-25-10 | Roberta Levy | State Farm Insurance
First off I would like to apologize as I have fallen behind in my posting duties. Life flies by pretty fast sometimes. Today we had 10 referrals which has been about our average for the year so far.
First we heard from Bill our Educational Coordinator and we finished up with our lessons in how to Utilize Dance Cards. A dance card if you do not know is a one on one get togteher with a group member outside of the meeting place. This is best used to get to know that person in his working environment and learn more about them and their services. So we ended up with starting a “Fun with Dance Cards Contest” and here are the rules:
- Meet a fellow member for a dance card = 2 points
- Meet that same member for a reciprocal dance card = 4 points
- Gie a referral to that dance card partner = 5 points
- give a dance card report during testimonial time = 1 point
We will be running this contest thru the end of March and the member with the most points will win a $25.00 gift card from (currently) and unknown place (let me know when you know Bill). So eveybody get out there and Dance, Dance, Dance!

Today we heard from Roberta who is a State Farm Insurance agent. Her mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams. Roberta has been a State Farm Agent since 1981, is a National Convention Qualifier, and a Legion of Honor Qualifier.
State Farm® was founded in 1922 by retired farmer and insurance salesman George Jacob “G.J.” Mecherle. His motivation for starting State Farm was simple. It was about fairness and doing the right thing for the customer.
Mecherle knew farmers drove less and had fewer accidents than city folks. He thought they should pay less for automobile insurance. The insurance company G.J. worked for didn’t agree — and suggested he start his own company. That’s exactly what he did.
Our founder’s philosophy of insurance coverage at a fair price, coupled with fair claim settlement, remains the cornerstone of our success. His original vision and values still guide us.
Today, State Farm insures more cars than any other insurer in North America. We are the leading U.S. home insurer. More than 17,000 agents and 68,000 employees serve over 75 million policies in the United States and Canada. We also provide our customers with a wide array of financial products and services to help them manage today and prepare for tomorrow.
So give Roberta a call, she is always looking for a few more good neighbors!
